Pigeons are perhaps the most pervasive urban wildlife problem in Vijayawada today. These highly adaptable birds thrive in urban environments, nesting in apartment balconies, under AC units, on window ledges, in warehouse rafters, and under bridges. Once established, a pigeon colony multiplies rapidly and becomes increasingly difficult to displace. NDP Safety Nets specializes in permanent pigeon net solutions that break the cycle of reinfestation and provide long-lasting, maintenance-free pigeon control across Vijayawada and Andhra Pradesh.
Pigeon droppings represent a serious public health risk. Dry droppings become airborne as fine dust containing Cryptococcus neoformans, Histoplasma capsulatum, and bacterial pathogens including Salmonella strains. In enclosed spaces like apartment stairwells and lift lobbies where droppings accumulate, occupants face repeated exposure to these pathogens that can cause serious respiratory and systemic illness in vulnerable individuals.
Common Pigeon Infestation Areas in Vijayawada
In Vijayawada's residential areas, pigeons most commonly target apartment balconies on upper floors with less human activity, the space behind AC outdoor units which offer warmth and shelter, window air conditioner chassis, terrace water tank areas, stairwell landings, and the undersides of water tanks and overhead structures. Each location requires a specific installation approach from NDP Safety Nets.
Commercial and industrial properties across Andhra Pradesh face pigeon problems in warehouse roof voids, loading dock areas, cooling tower enclosures, factory shed roof structures, and signboard frames. Our commercial pigeon net installations are designed for durability under the heavy bird pressure that commercial properties typically experience in Vijayawada's busy commercial zones.
Our Pigeon Net Solutions
NDP Safety Nets offers multiple pigeon net specifications for different severity levels. For standard residential balcony protection, our 19mm UV-stabilized HDPE net in black or white effectively excludes all common pigeon species while remaining lightweight and easy to maintain throughout the year. For industrial applications, we use heavier 32mm knotted HDPE nets that withstand the additional weight of multiple roosting pigeons without sagging or losing effectiveness over time.
